Whether you run a startup or a more established, mid-sized business, you want to focus on growing your company. You may not have the budget or capacity for hiring a full-time chief financial officer (CFO) or controller but would benefit greatly from the insight and expertise they can provide.
SD Mayer can act as your company’s outsourced CFO and controller. We can provide a complete financial solution that can scale as your business grows and help keep costs down in the meantime.
When your business chooses our outsourced CFO services, you begin a relationship with a trusted business advisor. We’ll work with you to develop strategic plans while offering cloud-based solutions that improve your efficiencies, allow for best practices and streamline internal controls.
A CFO or controller helps you see your business’s big picture. Working with a CFO takes some of the burden off your shoulders as the business founder or CEO. But not every company can afford to hire an executive financial professional full-time. When you outsource, you get the expertise of a full-time executive, minus the full-time salary and executive benefits package.
Cost-savings aren’t the only reason to work with an outsourced CFO or controller. The services they provide can be invaluable to your business. A CFO can help you avoid signing a contract that’s not in the best financial interests of your company. They can also help you find the financing you need to take your company to the next level.
An outsourced CFO can demystify many of the financial aspects of running a company. They can help you put together a budget that makes the best use of your company’s revenue. They can also help you identify holes in your funding or equilibrate your financing to have a more efficient mix of debt and equity financing.
SD Mayer is a full-service accounting firm based in San Francisco providing customized financial solutions to clients worldwide. As your company’s outsourced CFO or controller, we can provide actionable insights and tips to help grow your business.
When you work with us as your outsourced CFO or controller, you can see the following benefits:
An outsourced CFO takes on the role of CFO in your company. The services we offer as your external CFO depend on what your company currently needs and your goals. Some examples of what an outsourced CFO or controller can offer include:

Whether you’re reviewing contracts that are up for renewal or are about to sign a new contract, we review them with you and help you understand if the contracts are in your best interests.
We can help your business find and obtain funding. We also analyze your debt and equity mix and make suggestions if it seems unbalanced.
We can help you create budgets for your company and forecasts that allow you to develop a strategy and plan for the future.
We’ll review your current pricing structure and identify ways to improve your margins without alienating your customers.
