Christina Amaral joined SD Mayer in September 2026 as a Senior Manager in Client Accounting & Advisory Services (CAAS), based in the firm's San Francisco office.

With more than a decade of experience in public accounting, Christina focuses on outsourced accounting, advisory, family office, and fiduciary services. She works closely with high-net-worth individuals and families, professional fiduciaries, trusts and estates, and privately held businesses, and she supports a wide range of small and growing companies across industries including event planning, fitness, real estate, and professional services.

Her work spans full-cycle accounting, financial reporting, budgeting and cash-flow management, bill pay, investment tracking, fiduciary and estate accounting, and payroll oversight. Christina frequently serves as the connective tissue among a client's tax professionals, wealth advisors, and attorneys — coordinating the full advisory team rather than simply delivering accounting services. She is at her best with clients whose financial lives are complex, bringing structure, visibility, and efficient processes to reporting that had been fragmented.

Before joining SD Mayer, Christina spent seven years with Moss Adams, which later combined with Baker Tilly, working in outsourced accounting and family office services and advancing into a management role. Earlier in her career, she gained experience in tax preparation and accounting and office management. Having navigated mergers and significant organizational change firsthand, she brings a useful perspective to SD Mayer's integration with Springline and is passionate about helping the firm expand its family office and advisory capabilities.

Christina earned her degree in Accounting from Southern New Hampshire University. She has passed all four sections of the Uniform CPA Examination and completed all requirements for California CPA licensure, with her license application currently pending approval. She is also a Level 2 Intuit QuickBooks Online ProAdvisor and plans to join both CalCPA and the AICPA upon licensure.

A Sonoma County native, Christina lives in the area with her husband, Darrell, and her stepdaughter, Jaylyn. She took a decidedly non-traditional path into accounting — studying automotive and diesel technology out of high school, working in craft beer sales, and coaching gymnastics after years as a competitive gymnast — and she credits that background for her comfort with meeting new people, building relationships, and public speaking. Outside of work she stays active at the gym, hiking, and paddleboarding, and enjoys traveling, wine tasting, cooking and entertaining, and unwinding with a good book.

Eric joined our firm in late 2017, bringing his expertise to our Outsourced Accounting practice. As a licensed CPA and manager, he goes beyond keeping the books balanced and ensuring timely payroll, reconciliations, and AR/AP tasks — he plays an instrumental role in shaping the future of our firm. His commitment to excellence is evident in the way he consistently mentors and guides junior staff members, equipping them with the knowledge and skills needed to tackle the wide range of projects our practice handles.

With over a decade of experience in the accounting field, Eric brings a unique blend of technical and financial acumen that sets him apart. His educational background bridges engineering and accounting, with a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Cal Poly SLO and a Master's Degree in Accounting from Golden Gate University.

Raghav came to SD Mayer through an internship with USF’s Entrepreneurship and Innovation program. When the internship ended during the summer of 2019, he showed an interest in remaining with the firm working at a project coordinator and also helping out with the outsourced accounting practice. Raghav helps with balance sheets, financial statements and bill pay/payroll.

Raghav has a Bachelor’s degree in Business Communications and a Master’s degree in Entrepreneurship and Innovation.

Joining SD Mayer in 2017, he took on the task of being the pioneer—establishing the marketing department we take pride in today. Under Greg’s leadership, the firm underwent a transformative rebranding, including the launch of a dynamic new website, a suite of compelling marketing collateral, and the celebrated publication of Steve’s cherished book projects: “5 Buckets, 4 Shovels, a Beach and a Map“, “Adulting 101” and “The Toughest Guy I Ever Knew and Other Short Stories“.

Before his groundbreaking work at SD Mayer, Greg enriched several prestigious firms with his talents. His journey includes strategic roles at Armanino, CalCPA, and Franklin Templeton Investments, where he significantly contributed to their marketing, communications, and web development initiatives. In addition, Greg’s entrepreneurial spirit shone through as he successfully helmed his own print and web development business for over two decades.

Boasting over a decade of experience in public accounting, Angelica stands out as a seasoned tax expert within our team. Before gracing SD Mayer with her expertise, Angelica collaborated with Noel McNabola at PMB Helin Donovan. Their dynamic partnership spanned approximately 3 years until the pivotal moment in 2016 when SD Mayer welcomed PMB Helin Donovan into its fold.

Angelica’s strong foundation in accounting is accredited to her academic achievements at San Francisco State University, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Accounting. As a tenured professional with an impeccable track record, Angelica remains a cornerstone of our firm’s tax and accounting endeavors.

With a distinguished career that spans three decades, John Benjamin brings to SD Mayer a wealth of knowledge encompassing entrepreneurship, real estate development, accounting, and management consulting. His dynamic experiences have seen him delve deep into the intricacies of finance, real estate development, and hospitality services. John’s remarkable acumen in fundraising, team development, and strategy consulting positions him as a leader par excellence within our firm.

Greg became part of the SD Mayer team in 2025 when the firm merged with Bogdan Frasco CPAs. A licensed CPA in both Texas and California, Greg has built a distinguished career over several decades, honing his skills at respected firms including Bogdan & Frasco LLP, Sugarman & Company, and Arthur Andersen.

Since 1977, Greg has focused on providing tailored guidance to high-net-worth individuals, trusts, estates, and real estate clients. His extensive experience and hands-on approach have earned him a reputation as a trusted advisor for those facing complex financial and tax matters.

Greg earned his Bachelor of Business Administration and Master of Professional Accounting in Taxation from the University of Texas, laying a solid foundation for his long and successful career in accounting.

When he's not working, Greg loves to travel and spend time with his family. He values meaningful connections with clients and colleagues alike, and takes pride in working together to achieve common goals.

Michael brings a wealth of international finance experience to the team, with a career that has taken him from South Africa to the United States. Over the years, he has held senior positions at a number of respected firms, including BDO Spencer Steward in Cape Town, Colenbrander Associates in Pietermaritzburg, CICA Holdings, JHB Expo Centre, Pegasus Steel, and Breetzke Chartered Accountants in Johannesburg. After making the move to the U.S., Michael joined Brokstein Associates in Pleasant Hill, California, further deepening his cross-border financial expertise.

Michael's academic credentials underscore his dedication to the profession. He holds a Bachelor of Business Science in Finance from the University of Cape Town, a Bachelor of Accounting from the University of KwaZulu-Natal, and a Master's in Taxation from Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University. A dual-qualified chartered accountant through SAICA and a licensed CPA in California, Michael is also a member of CalCPA.

Outside the office, Michael is a devoted family man. He and his wife are enthusiastic supporters of their two sons' competitive sports pursuits — one an aspiring soccer player with Walnut Creek Surf Select, and the other a rugby enthusiast who especially loves the tackling. The family travels often, with Lake Tahoe as a favorite year-round destination, and they make regular trips back to South Africa to visit relatives. One of their goals is to explore every state in the U.S.

A passionate long-distance road and trail runner, Michael also enjoys watching rugby and has perfected the art of making biltong — South Africa's beloved cured meat snack.

Seth joined our firm in 2022, bringing with him two decades of hands-on accounting experience across a wide range of industries. From real estate and wineries to breweries, law firms, medical groups, restaurants, and retail, his career has given him a broad and well-rounded perspective. As a licensed CPA in both Wisconsin and California, Seth serves a diverse mix of clients, including individuals and closely-held businesses, with equal skill and attention.

Originally from the Central Valley, Seth headed to Wisconsin after college, where he launched his career and earned his CPA credentials. His drive to grow professionally eventually brought him to the Bay Area, where he contributed to well-known firms such as BPM and Elsberg & Garrett in Walnut Creek before finding his home at SD Mayer. Seth holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and is completing his Master of Science in Taxation this coming August.

When he's not helping clients navigate complex financial matters, Seth enjoys spending time outdoors, playing golf, exploring new restaurants, tasting wines, and seeking out great micro-brews. At SD Mayer, Seth is more than an accountant — he's a well-rounded professional whose enthusiasm extends well beyond the office.

Emerging from the prestigious University of California, Davis, Lizeth brings a fresh and enthusiastic perspective to our team, armed with a degree in Economics. Her journey with us began as an intern during the 2021 tax season, where she showcased her dedication and aptitude, ultimately culminating in her joining our esteemed firm. As of 2022, Lizeth has transitioned into a full-time role, gracing our Menlo Park office as a tax associate.

Aaron joined the SD Mayer team in 2022 when the firm acquired Vocker Kristofferson and Co. CPAs. Since beginning his career in 2013, he has developed a well-rounded skill set, working across both tax and audit engagements with equal confidence and dedication.

On the tax side, Aaron brings experience across a wide range of filings, including individuals, partnerships, trusts, corporations, and nonprofits. Alejandra "Abby" Deras joined SD Mayer in 2025 as part of the merger with Bogdan Frasco CPAs. Dina joined our firm in 2021, bringing a strong foundation in tax and accounting built through a diverse and dynamic career. She got her start at Thomson Reuters, where she supported accounting firms during tax season by troubleshooting e-filing issues and providing guidance on data entry for income tax products. This early experience gave her a deep understanding of the tools and processes that drive the profession.

From there, Dina went on to make her mark across the Bay Area accounting landscape, contributing to firms such as Robert Half, Hing Accountancy Corp, and Marcum. During her time at Marcum, she worked closely with high-net-worth individuals, partnerships, and corporations, handling complex tax filings including gift and trust returns. She also played a key role in year-end tax planning strategies for clients.

A licensed enrolled agent, Dina holds a Bachelor's degree in Accounting along with a Master's Degree in Taxation. Her combination of real-world experience and strong academic credentials continues to make her an invaluable part of our team at SD Mayer.

J.T. Harold Forbus joined SD Mayer in 2025 as part of the firm’s merger with Bogdan Frasco CPAs. With over 30 years of tax experience, J.T. has built a distinguished career working with individuals and small businesses. His expertise includes specialized tax planning for stock-based employee compensation, and he is known for his ability to explain complex tax concepts in plain, accessible language.

Prior to joining SD Mayer, J.T. gained extensive experience at Bill Pollard, CPA, and Bogdan & Frasco LLP. His educational background includes studies at San Joaquin Delta College and California State University, East Bay (formerly Cal State Hayward), where he earned a Bachelor’s degree in Business with a specialization in Accounting.

J.T. is actively involved in professional and community organizations. He is a proud member of CalCPA and the Rotary Club of San Francisco, one of the oldest Rotary Clubs in the world. Mayrenn Galvez is a seasoned professional with over two decades of experience in the legal and tax sectors, having dedicated 22 years of her career to serving a diverse range of clients at Seifer, Murken, Despina, James & Teichman. In 2023, she embarked on a new chapter in her career, joining SD Mayer & Associates as an Office Administrator. A proud alumna of Maryhill College in the Philippines, Mayrenn’s academic background laid a solid foundation for her illustrious career. When she’s not expertly managing office operations or navigating complex administrative challenges, Mayrenn can be found indulging in her love for the great outdoors, particularly through camping and hiking. Geetha Gowda joined SD Mayer in 2025 as part of the merger with Bogdan Frasco CPAs, bringing over 11 years of experience in tax preparation and accounting. Her professional background spans multiple firms, including Bogdan & Frasco LLP in San Francisco, Collins Mason & Company LLP in Oakland, Sweeney Kovar LLP in Danville.

Geetha holds a Master of Taxation from the University of Denver and two Master of Arts degrees in Sociology—one from Kansas State University and another from Bangalore University. Valeria Gutierrez is an enthusiastic Executive Associate at SD Mayer & Associates LLP, bringing a rich blend of experience and academic prowess to the team. With three years of experience working at a law school admissions office and a pivotal role on the finance team for a San Francisco mayoral campaign, Valeria has developed a strong foundation in both administrative and financial operations.

Currently attending the University of San Francisco (USF), Valeria is pursuing a double major in Finance and Marketing with a minor in Economics. Terrence joined SD Mayer in 2025 following the firm's merger with Ronald Ruttenberg CPAs, bringing with him more than 25 years of dedicated experience in public accounting. A San Francisco native, he earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Business from San Francisco State University, where he built a solid grounding in accounting, finance, and taxation. His passion for the field led him to join RRC in 1997, where he spent years delivering high-quality tax services to a broad range of clients.

A licensed CPA, Terrence has built deep expertise in preparing tax returns for individuals, partnerships, fiduciaries, corporations, and nonprofit organizations. Helen leads the tax practice at SD Mayer, bringing more than 30 years of experience to a role that extends well beyond technical tax work. Over the course of her career, she has held positions at some of the most respected names in the industry, including PwC, Franklin Templeton Investments, Sensiba San Filippo, and Brown Adams.

As Tax Practice Leader, Helen is responsible for shaping the direction of the firm's tax department. Her role encompasses hiring, strategic planning, production, billing, and training, and she serves as a key member of both the leadership and transition teams. She also drives the department's weekly meetings, keeping the team aligned and moving forward.

A licensed CPA, Helen earned her Bachelor's degree in International Relations from Stanford University — an academic background that gives her a distinctive and broad-minded approach to her work. Frisye has been building her career in accounting since 2008, steadily growing from a Tax Associate into a skilled Tax Manager. Certified Public Accountants, and Armanino — each role sharpening her ability to navigate complex financial structures and deliver thoughtful tax solutions.

A licensed CPA, Frisye currently works with SD Mayer on a part-time, remote basis. This arrangement reflects both her flexibility and her commitment to balancing a meaningful professional career with her role as a mother.

Frisye began her academic path at De Anza College, where she earned an Associate's degree in Liberal Arts, before going on to Indiana University's Kelley School of Business, where she completed a Bachelor's degree in both Accounting and Finance. Brigid Katselis joined SD Mayer in January 2023, bringing with her more than 25 years of experience in tax accounting. Throughout her career, she has prepared tax returns for a wide range of clients, including individuals, trusts, partnerships and LLCs, and corporations. Prior to SD Mayer, Brigid built her expertise at Seifer, Murken, Despina, James & Teichman and ALC.

Brigid holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of San Francisco and is an IRS Enrolled Agent — a credential that reflects her deep knowledge of tax law and her commitment to serving clients with the highest level of expertise.

Originally from the Bay Area and now based in Tennessee, Brigid has held on to her SF roots — you'll often find her cheering for the 49ers — though she's fully embraced her new home as a proud Titans fan. Michael brings more than 20 years of experience in accounting and finance to his role as Partner at SD Mayer. He also spent a significant chapter of his career at Vocker Kristofferson and Co., which merged with SD Mayer in 2022.

She holds a Bachelor's degree in Business Economics from the University of California, Santa Barbara, and a Master's in Taxation from Golden Gate University in San Francisco.

Jacqueline Li is an experienced accounting professional with years of progressive public accounting experience, specializing in audit, financial reporting, and compliance. She currently serves as a Senior Audit Associate at SD Mayer, where she leads multiple audit engagements and ensures compliance with U.S. GAAP. Prior to joining SD Mayer, she worked as a Semi‑Senior Auditor at another public accounting firm, where she executed audit procedures, prepared financial analyses, supported month‑end close processes, and assisted with tax engagements for a diverse client base.

Jacqueline holds a Master of Business Administration from Trine University and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with concentrations in Accounting and Finance from San Francisco State University. Su's career began in Myanmar, where she worked as an Apprentice Auditor at U Hla Tun Group Financial Consulting Firm, an associate of Coopers & Lybrand International. From there, she took on an Accountant role at Sedona Hotel in Mandalay before moving to Singapore to work as an Account Executive at Leo Shipping Pte. After returning to Myanmar to help manage her family business and raise her first-born daughter, Su eventually relocated to the United States, where she shifted her focus to tax preparation. She built her U.S. career through roles as a Certified Tax Analyst at H&R Block and as a Tax Accountant at Mark Dinkel CPA PC (Liberty Group) and Bogdan & Frasco LLP.

Ina Mamba joined SD Mayer & Associates in August 2025 as part of the firm's Audit & Assurance practice, bringing a fresh perspective and strong academic foundation to the team. Noel's career in accounting spans more than four decades, marked by a spirit of entrepreneurship and a constant drive to grow. He launched his career at Coopers & Lybrand (now PwC) in San Francisco, where he built a strong foundation in the profession — and where he first crossed paths with Steve Mayer.

A licensed CPA, Noel went on to co-found Pohl, McNabola Berg & Co. alongside Tony Pohl and Mike Berg. In 2006, he led a merger with Helin, Donovan, Trubee & Wilkinson out of Austin, Texas, forming PMB Helin Donovan (PMBHD) — a firm that grew to 150 employees and 22 partners. It was a milestone that reflected Noel's ability to think big and bring people together around a shared vision.

In 2016, Noel reunited with his former Coopers & Lybrand colleague Steve Mayer, joining SD Mayer in what became a natural full-circle moment in both of their careers.

Today, as partner-in-charge of the tax department at SD Mayer, Noel focuses on serving high-net-worth individuals and their associated pass-through entities, including S-Corps, LLCs, and trusts. He also brings specialized knowledge in working with expatriate taxpayers and non-resident aliens, helping them navigate the complexities of cross-border tax rules with confidence.

Ron joined SD Mayer in 2025 following the firm's merger with Ronald Ruttenberg CPAs, bringing more than four decades of experience in accounting and financial services. A licensed CPA since 1983, he graduated from the University of California in 1980 and began his career at several well-respected CPA firms in San Francisco, where he developed deep expertise in tax planning, financial reporting, and business advisory services.

In 1987, Ron joined a local San Mateo CPA firm and quickly rose to partner by 1989. His leadership and dedication to client service were central to the firm's growth and success. When his partner retired in 2004, Ron took over as sole owner, continuing to build a thriving practice known for its personalized approach to accounting, tax, and consulting.

A lifelong resident of the San Francisco Peninsula, Ron was born in San Francisco and has maintained strong ties to the local business and nonprofit communities throughout his career. His experience working with individuals, businesses, and nonprofit organizations has made him a trusted advisor, known for delivering practical financial solutions and thoughtful strategic guidance.

Family is at the center of Ron's life. He and his wife, Jenny, married in 1991 and have raised four children — their daughter Greta, now 29, and triplets Nathan, Rebecca, and Kevin, who turn 28 in December. Balancing career and family has always been a priority, and Ron takes pride in passing along the values of hard work, integrity, and perseverance to his kids.

Outside of the office, Ron stays active in his community, enjoys mentoring young professionals, and keeps a close eye on the evolving financial landscape. His dedication to his clients, his family, and his profession continues to drive everything he does at SD Mayer.

Prior to joining us, Jennifer garnered extensive experience with renowned organizations such as BLVD Residential, HMH Engineers, Ruth & Going, and ReSurge International. Namashvi Shah is a Tax Senior based in India, with over three years of experience supporting US CPA clients at Infinity Globus. Known for her ability to adapt quickly across tax software platforms and manage high-complexity files, she has built a strong track record of delivering accurate, compliant tax solutions in close collaboration with CPA teams.

Namashvi specializes in complex Individual (1040) and Partnership (1065) returns, with deep expertise in international compliance filings — including Forms 1116, 5471, and 5472 — and technical Section 481(a) adjustments.

A licensed Enrolled Agent (EA) and active CPA candidate, Namashvi recently passed the Regulation (REG) section of the CPA exam. She brings both the credentials and the curiosity to stay at the forefront of US tax practice, always eager to take on new challenges and expand her expertise.

Outside of work, Namashvi enjoys reading, playing musical instruments, traveling, and spending time with pets.

Fadi brings more than two decades of experience in auditing and assurance to his role at SD Mayer. Over the course of his career, he has worked with some of the most respected names in the profession, including Marcum LLP, Lindquist LLP, KPMG, and Deloitte. His expertise covers a broad range of engagements — from financial statement audits and reviews to single audits, examinations, and specialized procedures.

Fadi's client experience is equally wide-ranging. He has worked with biotech firms, financial institutions, manufacturing companies, nonprofit organizations, employee benefit plans, government units, and public agencies. This versatility reflects his ability to adapt to the unique needs of different industries while maintaining a consistent commitment to financial transparency and accuracy.

A licensed CPA, Fadi earned his Bachelor's degree in Accounting from Al Albayt University in Jordan, bringing a global perspective to his work. His international background gives him a distinctive lens through which to approach complex audit engagements, blending diverse professional experiences with rigorous technical knowledge.

Away from the office, Fadi is a devoted family man who treasures time with his wife and four sons. Together they enjoy camping, playing soccer, and hiking Mount Diablo, where they take in sweeping views of the Bay Area and the San Francisco skyline. Fadi is also an avid drone photographer with a talent for capturing the beauty of the natural landscapes he explores with his family.

Susan serves as a manager in our tax department, bringing more than 15 years of public accounting experience to the role. Her career began on the audit side, where she developed a sharp analytical eye and strong attention to detail — skills that have informed her work ever since.

Over time, Susan moved into specialized tax work, spending several years focused on the low-income housing tax credit sector, where she worked closely with nonprofits and partnerships. That experience gave her a deep understanding of complex tax frameworks and the nuances of financial reporting for organizations with unique compliance needs. More recently, she has turned her focus to providing tax services for high-net-worth individuals, along with preparing trust, estate, gift, and business entity returns. She takes a proactive approach to her work, staying current with evolving tax legislation to ensure her clients receive informed, forward-thinking guidance.

A licensed enrolled agent certified by the IRS, Susan holds the authority to represent taxpayers at the federal level. She earned her degree in business accounting from San Francisco State University, laying the groundwork for a career built on strong technical skills and continuous growth.

Outside the office, Susan is happiest outdoors. She enjoys rollerblading, skiing, hiking along the beach, and playing golf — activities that reflect her energetic personality and her belief in maintaining a healthy balance between work and life.

Nick’s entry into our firm in 2022 heralded a blend of theoretical insight and practical expertise. As a consultant in the Outsourced Accounting practice, he has been instrumental in ensuring that our clients, spanning a myriad of industries, receive the best bookkeeping and bill pay support.

His proficiency doesn’t just stop at routine bookkeeping. With over five years under his belt, Nick has honed his skills in the niche areas of accounts payable and accounts receivable. His adeptness in managing month-end closings and meticulous attention to details, especially in crafting accurate amortization and depreciation schedules, speaks volumes about his dedication to the profession.

Nick’s academic background is equally commendable. Rajan Soni joined SD Mayer as a Senior Accountant in August 2026, bringing more than a decade of accounting experience across two continents. He spent over seven years in India's accounting, tax, and auditing industries before shifting his focus to the U.S. market, where he has spent the past four and a half years supporting American businesses, CPA firms, and accounting practices. Most recently, he worked with Confiance Business Solutions Inc.

Rajan completed the CA Intermediate level with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India and earned a Bachelor of Business Administration from KS School of Business Management & Research.

Outside the office, Rajan and his spouse love to travel, and the itinerary usually revolves around one thing: finding great food. When he isn't exploring a new cuisine, you'll likely find him streaming a movie or web series, or out on the dance floor playing Garba, something he says he could never get tired of.

Elias has been with SD Mayer since the firm's founding in 2012, making him one of its longest-standing team members. A licensed CPA since 2002, he brings more than 25 years of experience in auditing and assurance to his role.

Over the course of his career, Elias has built a diverse audit portfolio spanning nonprofit organizations, broker-dealers, and public companies. This breadth of experience has given him a deep understanding of auditing procedures across a range of industries and entity types. Whether the engagement is straightforward or highly complex, he brings the same level of thoroughness, precision, and professionalism to every project.

Elias earned his Bachelor's degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting and Finance from Cal State East Bay. His ability to combine a strong academic foundation with decades of practical experience makes him a reliable and trusted resource for clients and colleagues alike.
